Jesus is wonderful

“I asked God for taking me out of bed and I would tell everyone He is wonderful”.

In 2011, Maria Cleusa Firmino, 64, resident in Guaianazes, São Paulo, almost lost her life. “I had two strokes (Cerebrovascular Accident) and one hemorrhagic stroke, so my arterial pressure went up to thirty-seven points.” Her son who took her to the hospital immediately helped Maria. “When the doctors checked me up they said I wouldn`t survive.”

Maria Cleusa was operated immediately. “They opened up my brain, removed the top of my head and performed treatments. They told my husband I would be unmovable if I survived. They considered it wouldn`t take long even if everything went right.”.

Maria and her family already sought God before the accident and didn`t accept the death sentence declared by the doctors. “I spent two months in coma while my husband, Paulo, sought God for my life in this ministry. He brought a pastor of the church from Itaquera to pray for me, and the God`s man declared I would be healed. Under that condition, after months in coma, I woke up and asked for the Lord to take me out of that bed and I would tell everyone He is wonderful”. With no sequel, Maria Cleusa glorified God on the altar. “The doctors doubt when they see me because I`m much healthier, and doing more activities than before stroke. God has looked after my life. Now, I contribute to this ministry to prevent it from coming to the end because God`s love touched and changed my history here. I`m very thankful for Jesus.”
