Hannah cried ceaselessly in 1 Samuel 1: 9 because she couldn`t give birth. At that time, the woman who couldn`t give a child to her husband used to undergo humiliation, mockery. Hannah lived that way, humiliation for being barren. At that time men could have more than one woman as well. Her husband had another wife who could give birth, so that humiliated Hannah too. But everyday, Hannah used to go uphill to the temple to talk to God.

I believe Hannah wanted to give up of everything very much, to abandon, to throw everything away, but she used to spend all her days long praying for God. Hannah`s cry was like pain in her soul, due to anguish, bitterness of life. Perhaps, some of us like Hannah, cry in similar situation. Her rival used to humiliate her, but I believe the worst of all was when the priest thought she was drunk.

That was Hannah’s strongest day, her soul cried a lot, her spirit was anguished, and she poured her soul on the altar while the priest observed that there was no sound coming out of her mouth. Her lips moved mutely, so it made the priest believe she was drunk and reprimanded her. So, she told the priest he didn`t know what was happening indeed, the moment she was going through, while she poured her soul on the altar. Even so, she did it respectfully, treating him as “sir”, and explaining herself. The same priest, God used to reprimand her, was also used to say that the petition was answered. Because of that, we can never go to the church being concerned or in a hurry. We may get sad when it`s the moment for us to go back home. Today, many people count the time to leave, but Hannah lasted long time in front of the altar and prayed with her soul Like Hannah, we have to pour our soul to God, wherever you can and are, it doesn`t matter if it is in the temple, at home, in room, in bathroom, in hospital, in prison. God changed Hannah`s luck so He may change yours too if you are sincere. If you are humiliated, God will exalt your soul as never before in your life when you pour your soul to Him, in such a way that, the one who looks at you later, won`t be able to recognize you. The arch of strong people may break, such as a bank, a multinational company, those who we never imagine it would be possible to break, do so. Likewise, those who are weak, small, worthless, may also become strong. Hannah had a son, and he became a great God`s man. If you are patient, wait in God, never murmur, never complain, always watch out, and persevere, God will answer your request and your change will come. When they arise, the world glorifies God even not being aware of what happens because God`s issues seem madness to the world. Imagine Hannah, every day at the temple, and the prophet not seeing her because God hadn`t touched him while she begged for God`s help. On the day that the prophet noticed her, it was the day that Hannah touched God with her soul. It wasn`t a movement, it was her cry, pouring her soul before God. Hannah promised she would give her son to God and fulfilled it. She delivered her son to the priest Eli. She and her husband didn`t raise him and she had seven more children. Wait in God, church. He is loyal.
