When Zacchaeus got to know that Jesus Christ, the Nazarene, would pass by there, he decided to climb a fig tree to see Him because he was short, and due to the crowd, he wouldn`t be able to see Jesus Christ Zacchaeus was rich and the chief tax collector. We believe that he had several assets, but even so, he was struggling to see Jesus because he had an empty space in his heart, something that money couldn`t fulfill.

The world tries to prove you that this gap that you have in your heart money, boyfriend, girlfriend, own house, luxurious car can fulfill, in other words, material things that the Lord has already prepared for you, but your priority must be Christ, my dear. The full happiness just comes from the Holy Spirit and everyone has the need of walking with Jesus.

Even if you have a lot of money, houses, cars, and everything what gold can buy, and you still feel that emptiness inside your heart, be sure that this gap comes from the Holy Spirit because just He can fulfill us. If we don`t have the Holy Spirit in our life, we will always feel this gap. Jesus Christ already knew that Zacchaeus would be on that fig tree to see Him because everything that happens in our lives, the Father observes from Heaven. Jesus also knew that man need Him, because there was emptiness in his heart and he was trying to fulfill it At the moment that Jesus announced that He would sleep at Zacchaeus`s house in order to change that man`s history, many people thought it was bizarre and started to complain about, “And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.” Luke 19:7. But, Jesus wants to get into the life of those who hasn`t accepted Him yet as the Savior of their lives. Jesus gets into destroyed homes; Jesus restores your life in every sense because who walks together with Christ, has already the salvation in the heart. My brother and my sister, if you feel a sinner to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, don`t let this thought lead your mind because the Father calls you the way you are with your problems, your addiction, your sadness. Through Him, all of those issues will come to the end When Zacchaeus felt he was fulfilled, and emptiness was gone, he said: “And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.” Luke 19:8. Zacchaeus was willing to restart his life, he would have everything with Jesus in his life Jesus Christ, with His all kindness answered the people who questioned: “And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, for so much as he also is a son of Abraham.” Luke 19:9. My brother, look at how beautiful sentence this is, how salvation hit that man`s house, it will hit your life. Accept Him deep in your heart; let Him make His dwelling in your life. With Him, our life is fulfilled forever, and you will see that what it missed, doesn`t miss anymore. His happiness is everlasting. Even if you think, is my son`s prison release the gap in my life? Is the job the gap in my life? Is my cure the gap of my life? Isn`t my debt the gap? Zacchaeus had what many people wanted, but even so, he had the emptiness. So, you have to understand that these are plans the Lord has for you and for your family, but in order to be given all that, you have to accept Jesus deep in your heart and He will fulfill your whole life.
