“On the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood up and exclaimed: If anyone is thirsty, come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture says, rivers of living water will flow from within. This he said regarding the Spirit that those who believe in him would receive; for the Spirit until that moment had not been given, because Jesus had not yet been glorified, ”John 7: 37-39.
Thirst is so important in the life of man, that it is the need to hydrate, not only man, but animals as well. Even if a baby does not know how to speak properly, it shows that he is thirsty.
The word thirst suggests that we drink water, and thirst means that we are dehydrated, organ failure, severe pain, because it is essential for our body. For it is our need. The same need to be with God, to have His Holy Spirit, His presence, is similar to that of the body for water. People who live far from God, feel thirsty for Him, feel weak and dehydrated spiritually. Why are there so many desperate people in this phase that we are going through? Because they are remote, thirsty, thirsty for the Lord. But the word is simple, believe only, and do not let your soul be without the Lord. If you walk away from the Lord, know that your soul is thirsty for God, do not leave it for later, because more and more that you go away, more you go through afflictions, sadness and alone. But the Lord always gives you a new opportunity and try to quench your soul's thirst. Just trust the Lord Jesus, that everything will work out, because He has the best for our lives. Have a blessed day!
