“Only when we stop to do God's way, when we stop to obey Him, the Lord changes our history”

“I was under complete misery, we had nothing else to eat, it was to me, my wife or my son”, says Antônio Cosmo de Abreu, 51 years old, resident in Embu Guaçu, São Paulo. “We survived because people helped us, we spent days with no food, and we asked people to give us something to eat. When we are in misery condition, no one looks at us, just few people give us value. Once, the owner of a bar denied a pack of crackers to us. From that day on we asked God for changing our history and so did He”.

Antônio, who met the Worldwide Church of God's Power still on João Dias, tells that “the situation was too difficult, we wanted to come to the church, but we couldn`t get it because of lack of money. So, we struggled to a point that we found a closer temple in Embu Guaçu. Thanks God, we congregated and little by little God changed our lives.

Since we got converted, we hear about giving the tithe, but we were stubborn and we kept our lives our way. That`s what made us take longer, I believe, to be given the change. Just when we stopped in order to follow God`s way, the Lord changed our history”. The new entrepreneur concluded. “We started to give the tithe, even under the condition of little to offer, even not having what to donate, and God gave us much more than what we expected. We have a company with employees, a car worth more than one hundred thousand reais, a very different life. I glorify and thank God for everything as well as this ministry”.
